Itinerary to carry out our commitment in the Country Pact

STEP 1: WHAT DO I NEED TO GET STARTED?

Now that your entity is part of the pact, and you are going to begin the process to define the commitments that your entity is going to assume by 2026 in the country Pact community, you should know that:

1. You have a supporting methodology.

2. It is not necessary for your entity to be dedicated to equality.

3. Your participation will bring benefits to your entity. How?

a) You will be recognized for your effective and measurable commitment to progress towards equality and will become part of a community with which to establish enriching synergies.

b) It is an internal learning opportunity that will allow us to perceive how changes in equality are not accidental.

c) Being part of the Country Pact allows each entity to contribute globally from a local approach. All efforts add up.

Read the support material carefully and let's get started!

STEP 2. ANALYZE THE CONTEXT. FROM GLOBAL TO LOCAL.

Knowing well the context in which the Country Pact arises is essential so that you can define the commitments that your entity will assume. Therefore, we recommend that you review the attached support material with information from both the IV World Conference on Women and the Generation Equality campaign and the Pact itself.

How do we do it?

• Individually, consult the support material that we have prepared and which summarizes the context of the Country Pact.

• In the second session of the working group, share the main reflections that have arisen from consulting the material. To help you in the debate, we include, in the support material, a battery of questions that can guide your debate, as well as more relevant information in case you want to know more about the context in which the Country Pact is designed.

Collect the main conclusions you have reached in a document because it will help you in the next step.

At the end of this step you can now take action!

STEP 3. FROM WORDS TO ACTIONS. HOW CAN WE CONTRIBUTE TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF EQUALITY AND THE COUNTRY PACT?

The role that you can have in the community of the Country Pact will be given by the internal reflection carried out by your entity. Taking as a framework of reference the commitments established in the 10 specific areas of the Country Pact, we invite you in this step to reflect on the most urgent challenges that you identify in your entity to move towards equality between women and men.

Your adherence to the Pact and your commitments to achieve equality, added to the commitments of the rest of the participating entities and the global action coalitions, will multiply the impact on a planetary scale.

How do we do it?

• Identify what commitments your entity can promote to contribute to change. In this third moment we want you to think about the challenges that your entity or area of work faces in terms of equality.

• To help you in this identification, you can take as reference the commitments of the 10 areas of the Country Pact that we attach as support material. We recommend that you focus your attention on those that have to do with your entity and the work you do.

• Collect the main consensuses and conclusions reached in the conversation.

The time has come to define the commitment!

STEP 4. DEFINE OUR COMMITMENT TO THE COUNTRY PACT.

It is time to compile the learning obtained through this entire process and concretize it into possible and measurable agreements and commitments that contribute to the equality of women and men. It is about defining the specific commitments that your entity is going to implement until 2026.

How do we do it?

1. Analyze, based on the internal reflection carried out, the commitments that you want and can assume to contribute to the equality of women and men until the year 2026. They must be measurable, realistic commitments and on which you can report periodically. How many commitments must we make? It depends on the commitments you want to assume. It can be a single commitment or more than one. The commitments must be linked to one of the 10 areas of action of the Country Pact (Economic justice; Empowerment of women and girls; Sexist violence against women; Childhood and adolescence; Care; Involvement of men and boys; Ecological transition; Digital Transformation; Women's movements and feminist leadership; Good government).

2. Other keys that can help you:

• You can value, make visible, size or give another focus to actions that you are already implementing or plan to implement in your entity so that it becomes the commitment to the Country Pact.

• Your entity must assume, with its own resources, the commitments that you define.

• If your entity wishes to participate in the progress report that Emakunde must prepare annually to inform Generation Equality, it is necessary that you collect information about all the actions that you carry out within the framework of your commitment(s).

Go ahead! All that remains is to make your commitment visible

STEP 5. SOCIALIZE MY COMMITMENTS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE COUNTRY PACT.

This is the last step and you just have to either click on the “I want to join” button if you have not already done so and follow the simple steps indicated or if you are already a member as an entity, enter “My pact” and include the information resulting from this internal process carried out in the “title of the commitment” and “Description of the commitment” section.

Once updated, the information will be reviewed by Emakunde technical staff and will then be visible in the Country Pact community directory. Remember that you can edit this information as many times as necessary.
